Sonia offers clear instruction for safe, sensitive and sustainable yoga, in the Iyengar yoga lineage.
Each class brings a focus to different posture families, from standing poses, forward bending, back bending, seated poses and when classes align with the New Moon, its everyone's favourite, Restorative!
Which means with consistent attendance you can expect a well-rounded yoga practice, challenging, integrative, and replenishing.

Regular classes are on a drop-in basis.
New students or beginners, a courtesy call or text is appreciated to help you choose the most suitable class.

Ropes Workshop

Working with the ropes is fun and sheds a new awareness on your yoga practice.
We will do a variety of yoga poses, standings, forward and backward extension, twists and inversions.
For the curious yogi to learn the yoga ropes for;
* more awareness about alignment
* support, stability & balance
* creating more space in your body-mind
* go deeper and develop your understanding of Yoga
The workshops are suitable to anyone with some yoga experience.

Sonia will offer Iyengar Yoga for Women, this approach includes;
1. Props: supported yoga poses that are "boons" for women, with variations and modifications using props like a chair, bolsters, blankets, bricks and belts.
2. Sequence: that will leave your mind feeling refreshed and quiet;
3. Timing: enough time to unwind tension and settle the nervous system and connect to your breath.
Finding a softness and a strength and an inner freedom you may not have known was possible.
Whether you have a regular Yoga practice or new to Yoga, these classes will give you the courage to do Yoga at this time and learn which asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing) can be safely practiced to ensure better health during pregnancy and delivery.
- Asana for strengthening muscles and joints, and making maximum room in the womb.
- Pranayama to calm the nervous system, remove fatigue and promote gentle detoxification for the mind-body to remain healthy.
- Restorative, meditative, somatic exploration to move through this bountiful time.
